A History of Hitoshi Takano as Player of Competitive "Karuta"

• 1979:(APR)I entered the Keio University. And I began competitive "Karuta" in "Keio Karuta Kai".
• 1980:(MAR)I made my debut in the 34th "Syokuiki-Gakusei Taikai". I belonged to C-Team of Keio University.
• 1981:(SEP)I won championship of B-Class at "Hokkoku Taikai" in Kanazawa city. I acquired 3-Dan and became A-Class player.
• 1981:(OCT)I made my debut in A-Class match. This match is the East Japan preliminary of "Meijin-sen".
• 1982:(APR)I participated in the 21st All-Japan championship as my first time.
• 1982:(AUG)We won championship of A-Class in the 38th "Syokuiki-Gakusei Taikai". I belonged to A-Team of Keio University.
• 1983:(JAN)I won the fourth place of A-Class in "New Years National Tournament".
• 1983:(MAR)I won the fourth place of A-Class in "Student Championship Tournament". I graduated from Keio University.
• 1983:I was the 50th place by score ranking of All-Japan Karuta Association in Syowa 58 nendo.
• 1984:(APR)We won championship of A-Class in the 41st "Syokuiki-Gakusei Taikai". I belonged to A-Team of Keio University.
• 1985:(JAN)I won the third place of A-Class in "Wakayama Taikai".
• 1985:I was the 42nd place by score ranking of All-Japan Karuta Association in Syowa 60 nendo.
• 1986:(FEB)I participated in the first championship of the National Invitational Karuta Tournament.
• 1989:(JAN)I acquired 4-Dan.
• 1992:I began to do practices of competitive Karuta at Shonan Fujisawa Campus of Keio University.
• 1996:I began to play games of competitive Karuta with students of Keio Shonan Fujisawa Junior & Senior High school.
• 2003:I acquired 5-Dan.
• 2005:(APR)We began the Meijin-sen of staffs in Keio-Gijuku.
• 2006:(MAR)I participated in the 85th "Syokuiki-Gakusei Taikai" after an interval of 17 and a half years. I belonged to the Team of Keio-Gijuku staffs.
• 2008:(JUN)I performed a anniversary event for competition life 30 years.
• 2010:(AUG)I won all four games and got a prize for clean score in the 94th "Syokuiki-Gakusei Taikai".　For me, it was the first receiving a prize in "Syokuiki-Gakusei Taikai".
• 2011:(MAR)I achieved 3,000 games.
• 2011:(MAY)I participated in the 23rd Championship of Senior Players as my first time.
• 2011:(NOV)In the Meijin-sen of staffs in Keio-Gijuku, I accomplished the seventh championship in total. Therefore it was allowed　for me to give a title of "eternal champion("eisei-meijin")".
• 2012:(DEC)My online posting was placed in the All-Japan Karuta Association bulletin "Karuta Tenbo" (the 56th).
• 2013:(AUG)I participated in the 100th memorial "Syokuiki-Gakusei Taikai" as the Team of Keio-Gijuku staffs.
• 2015:(MAY)E-Mail that he wants me to make a pupil from an Indian boy resident in India to me arrived. He became my student of "Kyogi Karuta" as residence in India.
• 2019:My "Kanreki" year and the fourties anniversary of my karuta life. ("Kanreki" means sixtieth birthday.)
• 2020(Mar)-2023(Mar):Influence of "Covid-19".
• 2023:(AUG)I received "Prize for special service" of "Syokuiki-Gakusei Taikai".
• 2023:(DEC)I achieved 4,000 games.
• 2024:(MAR)I retired a staff of "Keio-Gijuku".
• 2024:(APR)"Oota Karuta Kai" was established. I became a representative of "Oota Karuta Kai".
